The Japanese automaker Mazda has confirmed that it will launch a new model at the 2016 New York Auto show, which is scheduled to start on March 25. However, the company didn’t reveal much and just stated that it will be a ‘world premier’ that will ‘blow the lid off’. I am including several other car enthusiasts from other car blogs believe that Mazda is planning to introduce a hard top variant of the MX-5 called as, Mazda MX 5 Miata Roadster.
Currently, the Mazda MX-5 Miata is only available in soft-top convertible version, and logically it would be a good idea to launch a roadster version of it.
The hard top roof mechanism would of course add several pounds to the current weight of the Mazda MX-5 Miata which is weighing around 2,332 pounds. The starting price of the Mazda MX 5 is $24,915 which will also go up by around $2,000 to $3,000.
More details about Mazda MX 5 Miata Roadster will soon be uncovered later this month at the New York Auto Show.
