Having already lost the element of secrecy, the Italian sportscar legendary company released some images of the 2017 Maserati Levante just a day after the leaked production pictures started circulating.
The 2017 Maserati Levante has the honour of being the first SUV in the history of the company and will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The official launch of the vehicle in Europe will happen this spring. The production has been started and the first Levante SUV has already rolled off the assembly line.
Maserati has been toying with the idea of SUVs for a while now. The Kubang Concept car was unveiled in 2011, while the patent drawings of the Levante sneaked their way out last year in May.
Maserati has yet to reveal details about the powertrains, but information gleaned from the leaked photos show that a 2.9 litre gasoline V6 and 2.9 litre diesel V6 are part of the mix.
