The 2016 Kia Optima Sportswagon is all set for its world Debut on March 1 at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Kia is targeting high sales through its 2016 Kia Optima range. The wagon is inspired by Kia Sportspace concept which was first revealed at the last year’s Geneva Motor Show and debuted in the shape of a sedan a month later at the New York Auto Show.
The all-new 2016 Kia Optima Sportswagon looks chic with long-roof body style. The exterior and similar looking interior to Optima Sedan, offer a variety of practical advantages over a conventional crossover/SUV in shape of extended storage. The Optima Sportswagon 2016 is also equipped with all the latest high technology equipments such as Apple Carplay, wireless charging pad, a surrounding camera and Android Auto smartphone assimilation.
The wagon will be available in patrol and diesel powertrains encompassing a GT variant geared with a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that produces a horsepower of 241. The drivetrain options include six-speed manual and automatic transmissions with front wheel drive only. Reportedly, the 2016 Kia Optima Sportswagon may offer hybrid and plugin-hybrid options in future.
