The Ram 2500 OffRoad was part of the FCA brand’s display this year at the Chicago Auto Show 2016. The truck features several additions that allow for better off-roading and towing capabilities.

The trail-ready options include large hooks on the front that can serve as an anchor or be used for towing. The skids plates protect mechanical components, while fender flares on all four corners give the truck a wider look. The tyre options are Firestone 18 or 20 inch, depending on the trim level.

The Hill Descent Control technology, borrowed from the Power Wagon (also on display at the Chicago Auto Show) allows the driver to manage steep slopes without pedals by using the low-speed cruise control.

The Ram 2500 OffRoad is expected to be available for sale by the third quarter of 2016. Ram has promised that the Off-Road package will be offered for Crew Cab and Mega Cab models (both diesel and petrol) as well as short and long-wheelbase trucks.
