Interested buyers can start applying for the 2017 Ford GT this month through an online application. However, not everyone is going to get lucky with this desirable and exclusive supercar.
Ford will be screening the orders to make sure their prized high-performance master piece will go out to hardcore fans. Priority lists will be defined to ensure the 2017 Ford GT is cared, kept and not put on resale for immediate profits.
The screening criterion includes previous Ford ownership and social media status. The selected applicants are also expected to sign an agreement whereby they will commit to not selling the car for a certain period.
While Ford has not confirmed production numbers, it is expected that only around 250 Ford GTs per year will make it off the assembly lines.
The 2017 Ford GT has major aerodynamic enhancements, and its 3.5 litre EcoBoost V6 engine is expected to deliver over 600 hp.
The price may start at $400,000 and deliveries are expected to begin by the end of this year.
