Ford has allowed adding a backseat package to Mustang Shelby GT350R, turning it into a 4-seater. The backseat kit from Ford includes a 2-seator chair with seatbelts, covered in the same Alcantara upholstery and red stitching that is done on the upfront seats. To ensure safety for the rear seat passengers, Ford suggests getting the backseat installation done by a certified vendor or service centre.
Even though Dave Pericak, Global director of Ford Performance, has explicitly mentioned that the addition of backseat to the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R is done in response to an overwhelming customer feedback, experts predict a couple more reasons behind it.
First reason could be making it more like the Porsche model. And second is to provide families with an entertaining experience, as Mustang Shelby GT350R carries an economical price. The backseat package is available from Ford Performance Parts and costs just $999.
