It is now confirmed that the Toyota C-HR crossover will be entering the Nurburgring 24 Hour race, held at Nordschleife every year since 2017. This will be the first time a crossover has been entered in the race and Toyota claims that the move is intended to emphasise their dedication to better vehicles by testing them in the harsh conditions at Nurburgring.
The Toyota C-HR crossover entering the Nurburgring 24 Hour race makes it the first crossover to participate in the prestigious event. Based on the Toyota C-HR concept that debuted at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the race model is expected to have a closer resemblance to the final production model rather than the concept.
Also included in the Toyota line-up for the race are the Lexus RC and RC F. Masahiko Kageyama and Kumi Sato will be behind the wheels, with another driver yet to be confirmed.
The Nurburgring endurance race will be held from May 26 to May 29.
