The heavily camouflaged 2017 Kia Optima Sportswagon was unable to evade photographers and has been spied in road tests. The car bears a strong resemblance to the 2015 Kia Sportspace Concept revealed at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show.
The 2017 Kia Optima Sportswagon seems to have inherited a lot from the Optima sedan as well – the grille, headlights, side view mirrors and lower grille are similar. The horizontally split vents on the front fascia are the same as the ones of the Sportspace concept.
There have been no details released on the engine but it is likely to offer the same powertrains as the 2016 Optima sedan which has a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder (185 hp), a 2.0 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder (247 hp) and a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine (178 hp).
Given that road test has already begun, we can expect the 2017 Kia Optima Sportswagon to be launched at this year’s Geneva Auto Show.
