The 2016 Consumer Electronics Show brings to us the Faraday Future Concept car, called FFZero1, which hints at one of the fastest EVs in the world. The secretive Californian company is Tesla’s latest competitor in the EV market.
The Faraday Future concept car features a single seat angled at 45 degrees and resembles a futuristic supercar which hints at the company’s unique outlook to be a power player in the future of the automobile industry. It is powered by four electric motors (one for each wheel) which deliver a combined output of over 1,000hp hitting 0-60 mph in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph.
The chassis is a feat of engineering – designed to longer or shorter to include different number of battery packs. It can feature one to four electric motors for two-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The Faraday Future Concept FFZero1 is expected to hit the showrooms within two years though it is not clear how much the production version of the car will differ from the concept.
