The Dubai Police Apple Watch app has been developed by the Smart Services Department to help in tracking not only the traffic breaches but also aid the motorists in paying their traffic fines using the Apple Watch.
This service is provided to the motorists with the help of a successful partnership between the Dubai Police’s Smart Services Dept and the Max Box Middle East – a payment solutions company. All the MBME Kiosks have equipped themselves with this application for receiving fines.
Colonel Khalid Nasser Al Razouqi, General Director of the Dubai Police Smart Services department said that the development of this application is not only unique but also adds as a proof to their committed cause of integrating technology to the best interests of the public. Commander of the Dubai Police has also appreciated the efforts of the Smart Services Dept.
Around 327 transactions have already been made inside the first 10 days of the launch of this service, amounting to Dh248,33. The smartwatch app has reduced the queues lined up at the old kiosks and has already made the process of paying fines faster than ever.
Previously, the traffic fines were paid through the Emirates Bank Services NBD, Dubai Police’s site, ATM, Bank Transfer or the iOS and Android app.
The MBME firm is also working in alliance with the Abu Dhabi Police Department to offer the Dubai Police Apple Watch app like service and functionality to the citizens of Abu Dhabi as well.
