Ford and Google are planning to team up to build a self-driving vehicle which might turn out to be the most advanced autonomous car we would get to see in the coming years.
A few months back, Google’s co-founder Sergey Brin announced that the company is seeking partners for the manufacturing of autonomous cars; however no hint was given that it can be Ford. Ford on the other hand has been making announcements regarding the test driving of autonomous cars on the streets of California. There is no doubt that the partnership between Ford and Google will turn out to be beneficial for both the companies, as Ford would not have to worry about developing a software for the autonomous vehicles and Google will not have to spend billions of dollars in building their own vehicles.
According to the sources, the two companies are going to finalize a deal next month in Las Vegas at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), but we can’t be sure right now so it’s better not to get hopes up high.
