The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq has been seen before in sketches and teasers, however this time around, it has been spotted in its full form without wearing any disguise.
The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq will be the first ever all-electric vehicle by the automaker, and when launched it will compete with the new Toyota Prius and the Chevrolet Volt. The base powertrain is expected to be a 1.6L inline 4 cylinder engine mated to an electric motor. Although the range and fuel economy rating have not been announced, but considering the fact that it is going to rival Prius, we can expect it to deliver an estimated combined 50 MPG.
The exterior design of 2017 Hyundai Ioniq is pretty much similar to the Prius aimed to provide excellent aerodynamics.
It will be officially unveiled in South Korea next month, followed by a world debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor and then it will make its way to the New York Auto Show.
