The plans to introduce the 2018 Land Rover Defender are underway but it won’t have the same old school look as its predecessors. So what will it look like then? Talking to Automotive News, the design director of Land Rover, Gerry McGovern stated that the new 2018 Land Rover Defender will employ a unique modern design which will be very different from the concepts revealed previously.
The source further tells us that the new Defender is expected to arrive in five different body styles. Two of them will be featuring 2-door configuration, most probably in hard and soft top; a four door version with a longer wheelbase to accommodate 8 passengers; and two and four door pickup variants, which might not arrive in the US markets.
The next-gen 2018 Land Rover Defender is expected to hit the markets somewhere in 2018 as a 2019 model. The dates are not official now, so we would have to wait a little to get our hands on more information.
