A Koenigsegg Agera R was involved in a car crash in Chongqing, China, just after the driver took delivery of the supercar over the weekend. The rare Swedish manufactured supercar was worth almost $4 million.

The vehicle was being driven at a very high speed when it crashed into a barrier. The driver and companion have apparently escaped any serious injuries. The Koenigsegg Agera R has suffered considerable damage to its front end and will probably be repaired back in Sweden.

The Agera R’s bold design and incredible performance have made it one of the world’s most popular supercars. The twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 engine develops 1,140 hp for top speeds exceeding 245 mph. The grey and black Agera R involved in the crash was the 82nd car ever to roll of the Koenigsegg production line and one of the 18 models of Agera R produced during 2011 and 2014.

Koenigsegg has the distinction of being the first Hypercar manufacturer to introduce the biofuel CCXR in 2007. The Agera R, based on the Agera, also runs on biofuel. The upgraded fuel and engine management system of the Agrera R allows it to run between 95 Octane and E100 biofuel or any combination between the two.
