Mysterious California based Car Company Faraday Future announced that it will launch its EV (Electronic Vehicle) concept at Consumer Electronics Show (Las Vegas) in January 2016. The company aims to directly compete with Tesla Motors which has a rather strong foot-hold in the EV market. Currently, Faraday Future has been in the stealth mode but is planning to invest $ 1 billion to mass produce their electronic vehicles for which production is expected to start in 2017.
Not much has been revealed yet apart from an online teaser which immediately holds your attention displaying sleek designing and hints on the LED headlight of this EV. A ticker timer has been added which shows the exact time remained for the concept’s unveiling. Faraday Future’s Chief Designer, Richard Kim claims, the “car will retain the beauty of traditional vehicles however will be more of an interactive mobility device which will connect to the rest of your life”.
To surpass their EV producing rival, Faraday Future has hired a diverse human resource including notable former Tesla Employees such as Nick Sampson (Former Director Vehicle and Chassis Tesla Motors) and Dag Reckhorn (Former Director Manufacturing Tesla Motors). Current reports suggest that the company is being financed by Jia Yueting a Chinese billionaire running a technology company named Letv (Chinese version of Netflix).
The company plans to use subscription model rather than traditional sales to make its EVs available for buyers. However, only time will tell how Faraday Future scores upon joining the EV bandwagon. Considering the entire buzz, we can hardly wait for January 04, 2016 when this advanced concept will be finally unveiled.
