Rumors are rife about the successor to the 2018 BMW 5-Series GT (Gran Turismo) which has been spotted in camouflage, but recognizable and decidedly more stylish.
The oft-criticised rear end of the car has definitely been upgraded. Coupled with the sloped roofline and tighter window line the new face of the BMW 5-Series GT has a sleek profile. The inside will probably be the same as the 5-Series sedan to be released in the middle of next year with more legroom and added storing compartments.
Engine specs will follow the sedan and station wagon versions of the 5 Series (4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines) though BMW will add a plug-in hybrid powertrain comprising a turbocharged 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engine and an electric motor for environment concerned people. The vehicle will ride on the standard carbon fibre, aluminium and magnesium based platform used for all the new 5-Series models.
The expected release date for the 2018 BMW 5-Series GT is after the second quarter of 2017.
