Abu Dhabi law enforcement authorities issued stringent National Day car decoration guidelines for the 44th National Day, which will be celebrated amidst much fanfare on 2nd December 2015.
The guidelines are set primarily to ensure safety on capital’s roads and maintain the sanctity of this auspicious occasion, said Brigadier Ghaith Al Zaabi (DG-Traffic Coordination-Ministry of Interior).
- The motorists are not allowed to distort their windshields or license plates.
- Any profane/obscene writing on the vehicles exterior body and the installation of flag are considered a violation.
- The motorists are further advised not to perform any road stunt, traffic disruption, park in unpermitted areas, fit their vehicles with speakers, alter the engine or paint of the car etc.
- To ensure compliance, surveillance will be intensified through cameras and radars installed on roads and underpass tunnels.
The drivers can expect to be fined for Dh500-Dh3000 along with 12-24 black points on their license in case of not abiding by the laid out National Day car decoration guidelines.
