VW Prepaid cards, sounds something positive! The engineers at Volkswagen Group have revealed the bitter truth that they rigged the CO2 emissions on some diesel vehicles because the goals set by the former CEO, Martin Winterkorn were not too easy to achieve.

However, Volkswagen being a consumer-caring company has plans to make up to its angry customers by launching a “TDI Goodwill Program” next week. This campaign will compensate the diesel car drivers by providing them with two prepaid cards that can be cashed out.

The first card is worth $500 and can be used in all the major stores in the US. The second card is valued between $500 and $750, but is only usable at VW dealerships. All the new and used four cylinder TDI car owners can benefit from this campaign.

VW prepaid cards are not yet announced officially, but the New York Times report tells us that the company will announce about this scheme soon, so stick around to find out more.
