Visitors at the opening day of the Dubai International Motor Show saw the global launch of the 2016 Elantra and the regional introduction of the 2016 Creta.
The all new 2016 Elantra is available with 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litres MPi engines with horsepower output from 130 ps to 150 ps, 15 inch front disk brakes, and special steel alloy added to the body shell for extra reinforcement. The silica tyres provide a better road grip and improve fuel efficiency through lesser rolling resistance.
The safety features include electronic stability control, 6 airbags, front and back parking assist, and an anti-lock brake system.
Hyundai’s SUV Creta comes with the choice of 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre diesel engines and 1.4 litre petrol unit. The front boasts a triple slat hexagonal chrome grille and an imposing bumper, while the rear features split-type rear lamps and a sporty bumper.
Hyundai Motors posted global sales of 458,375 units in October – 16% up on September and 6.3% year on year growth.
