The recently released Version 7.0 of Tesla Autopilot is getting mixed reviews from drivers. A recent video shows a motorist in trouble after exiting the highway apparently because of inconsistent line markings. Autopilot is highly dependent on clear line markings on highway to function adequately as Elon Musk has clarified on several occasions.
The underlying issue is highlighted in this comment from a Tesla customer: “Is there any way to get all the info for the V 7.0 upgrade on a desktop so that it can be printed out. It’s a lot to read on the Tesla screen while driving”. Another customer remarked on the lack of training videos: “When will you have a Video showing us how to use these new features or an updated Video on the car including the autopilot features.”
Customers are excited about the Tesla Autopilot update, but feel there is not enough content available online for them to get properly acquainted with the system and understand the functionality and limitations. Moreover some customers have complained about the changes to the dashboard and requested for the option of switching back to the original dashboard or having images of the new dashboard made available prior to the release of the update.
