Yamaha sports car concept is ready to amuse the car racing enthusiasts at the Tokyo Motor Show, scheduled to start on October 29.
We all are familiar with Yamaha motorcycles but the less know facts are that they have been developing engines for various carmakers and even robots for industrial use. This sports car will not be the first effort of the Japanese brand; the first one was Motive concept which was co-created with the help of McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray.
The Yamaha sports car concept would be based on the flexible manufacturing process known as iStream initiated by Gordon Murray. The process incorporates swappable parts which can be assembled to create multiple kinds of vehicles.
The concept car might not hit the assembly lines, but surely gives us an idea of Yamaha’s plans to venturing into the automotive industry. Seeing the company’s past record, it won’t be a problem as they have already created V8 and V6 engines for Volvo and Ford cars.
To know more about the Yamaha Sports Car Concept, you have to wait just 10 more days. Stay tuned!
