The dynamic and outspoken CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, has created an amusing uproar in the motoring world with his witty banter against Apple.
In an interview with a German business newspaper, Handelsblatt, Elon Musk was quoted as saying, “Important engineers? They have hired people we’ve fired. We always jokingly call Apple the Tesla Graveyard” in response to a question regarding Tesla employees deserting over to Apple. He reiterated the seriousness of his response by repeating “If you don’t make it at Tesla, you go work at Apple. I’m not kidding.”
Elon Musk is dismissive of Apple’s efforts in the electric car race and he can certainly afford to do so with Tesla Motors being the pioneer in the EVs and holding a majority share in the US market along with the largest supercharger network in the world (and growing).
Tesla’s mass transit project, Hyperloop, seemingly a thing of the distant future might not be so distant, as there are rumours that the project might go online as early as 2016.
