Street Meet, the opening event to Dubai Motor Show, kicked off with a bang featuring over 200 classic cars gathered under one roof at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Participants got a chance to show off their prized possessions and mingle with hundreds of other enthusiasts sharing the same passion. The popularity of the event is evident from the fact that the available spaces, capped at 200 vehicles, were booked online days in advance. The enthusiasm shown by the fans of vintage cars was no doubt enhanced by the overwhelming response, since the event was filled to full capacity.
Some of the well known brands that were part of the spectacular display included Ferrari, Dodge, BMW, Porsche, Lamborghini and Harley Davidson. Also on display were some classic Harley Davidson motorcycles and highly modified Japanese imports.
Muhammad Usman, owner of a Corvette 7, sums it up nicely in his statement, “The best thing about coming to these car meets is speaking with other car enthusiasts and sharing car stories. Most people here have spent a lot of love and hours to tune their vehicle to meet their needs. These are my kind of people and it has only whetted my appetite for the Dubai International Motor Show.”
