Thrust SSC

The Hennessey Venom GT might be world’s fastest car at 270.49 mph, but it is not the fastest car ever made. The Thrust SSC has reached the supersonic speed of 766 mph, recorded in the Black Rock desert Nevada, USA on October 15, 1997 which is still an unbroken record. It was equipped with two 25,000 lb. thrust Rolls Royce 205 Turbojet engines and weighed over 10 tons.
