The new BMW CEO, Harald Kruger, fell suddenly at the Frankfurt press conference and fainted on the stage. Two helpers reached the scene and assisted him to get up and off-stage. The incident happened just 5 minutes after the conference started.

According to Financial Times, Kruger was unwell before the start of the press and it was a mere moment of dizziness which took him out of his feet on the floor. Following the incident, the press was abandoned and Kruger was taken to a local hospital, where he found himself in a better condition after initial treatment.

The question why he was fainted on such an important event has an easy answer. Being a CEO of world’s biggest automaker comes with a lot of challenges where you have to work extra hours, meet deadlines and deliver at the same time. Kruger might have taken it too seriously and collapsed.

We hope, BMW CEO gets well soon and resume the press conference. Kruger has recently taken the place of Norbert Reithhofer and supervises BMW’s huge range of cars. BMW would be unveiling 2016 X1 crossover and Mini Clubman shortly, as the show has started today.
