The Thunder Power EV concept car is all set to hit the floors of 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept electric car promises 373-mile range, which is 108-mile more than the Tesla Model S.
Reportedly, the Thunder Power EV will house electric motors powered by batteries to produce 430 horsepower, which will enable it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 5 seconds achieving a top speed of 250 km/h.
The teaser image reveals that it sports Italian styling, which is obvious considering the Taiwanese automaker employing services of former Lotus and Bugatti technician Dr. Peter Tutzer to supervise the electric car’s manufacturing. Besides, there is more experience close at hand as Franz Schutle, former executive of Porsche and Ford, is working as Chief Production Officer.
The Thunder Power EV will first hit the Chinese markets wearing a price tag of 400,000 yuan ($62,730), while deliveries to European markets will start in 2017. The car is under examination in Milan at the moment.
The electric car seems to be inspired by European styling with a hint of similarity to Tesla Model S. To know more about it, wait for a while as Frankfurt Auto Show is around the corner.
