The Cadillac SRX which has been in the market for the past 11 years and is one of the best-selling vehicles by General Motors, will now be replaced by a new model, the Cadillac XT5. In June, the spy shots of the 2017 Cadillac XT5 were revealed showing its exterior styling, but Cadillac did not unveil any information about the crossover.

According to what the spy shots show, the 2017 Cadillac XT5 resembles to the new CT6 because of the same distinct daytime running headlamps and the grille. Overall, it has a very bulky and athletic exterior design. On the inside, it will offer seating capacity of 5 people. However, the automaker has plans to introduce a 3 row seating configuration in the future.

Although the previous SRX models were built in Mexico, the new XT5 Cadillac will be manufactured in an assembly line in Tennessee.

Not much is known regarding the powertrain and other features, but Cadillac has promised to reveal more information very soon. It will make its debut 2 months from now in November, at the Dubai Motor Show and a week after that it will be displayed at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
