While the Frankfurt Motor Show is still some days away, the South Korean automaker decided to take the wraps off 2016 Kia Sportage a little earlier. And there is no second opinion on the fact that this new generation Sportage is uniquely designed and will really standout in terms of exterior styling when it makes its official debut on September 15.
The front fascia of 2016 Kia Sportage features the traditional tiger nose grille, however unlike the Kia Koupe and new Altima sedan, the headlamps are not joined with the grille. The rear part of the 2016 Kia Sportage is somewhat similar to the Provo concept car which was introduced in 2013.Although, the exterior of 2016 Kia Sportage is very attractive, we are not sure of the interior yet. Nevertheless, you can expect the interior to be spacious and made from high quality materials.
The powertrain has also not been confirmed by the automaker, but since it will share some specifications with the Hyundai Tucson, expect the Sportage to carry a 1.6L four cylinder engine.
To keep things more competitive, we believe it will also offer the latest and advanced safety features such as blind-spot detection and lane-change assist.
The new 2016 Kia Sportage will hit the markets sometime in the next year.
