Earlier this year at the New York Motor Show, Honda revealed that the tenth generation Civic will feature a coupe, hatchback and a wagon body style. Now a Spanish website, Pistonudos has clicked spy shots of what seems like the 5 door 2016 Honda Civic somewhere in Spain. Although it is camouflaged, we sure can figure out a few exterior elements from the pictures.
The front grille and the headlamps are very similar to the Acura ILX, however the lower part of the bumper has been redesigned and renders three air intakes. The rear part of the 2016 Honda Civic is somewhat confusing as we can’t figure out the reason behind the configuration of three exhaust tips.
The centre exhaust pipe is smaller in diameter than the other two surrounding it. The taillights are almost the same as the ones displayed in the patent images that were leaked earlier. The huge multi-spoke wheels add to the overall sporty persona of the 2016 Honda Civic.
Talking about the powertrain, it will be equipped with a 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo four-cylinder engine paired with either six speed manual or CVT transmission.
Expect the new 2016 Civic Sedan to be launched in the UAE markets later this year; however the coupe variant may not be available over here.
