Christian Bale, mostly famous with his Batman character, is going act as Enzo Ferrari, where he will come in close contact with amazing collector’s cars, as the movie will be set in 1957. Reportedly, the shootings will start in the summer of 2016.
According to Deadline Hollywood, director Michael Mann is going to make a biographical film on the famous automotive figure, who laid the foundation of the world-class car company.
It is also rumoured that the movie could highlight the heartrending events of 1957 during which 11 people died in a Ferrari car accident at the Mille Miglia. More has come from Road & Track, who claims that the story could also be based on the book ‘Enzo Ferrari.’
Anyway, the movie is going to be epic with talented Christian Bale leading the cast. It is worth noticing that Enzo Ferrari was 59 in 1957, while Bale is just 41, but it’s not hard for Hollywood to make out for these minor age differences.
Moreover, there will be plenty of classic cars that viewers have never seen before in action, and presumably the 1960’s legendary Le Mans event will also be recreated, which gave Ford and Ferrari its true identity.
Interestingly, Michael Mann is not the only director taking on this particular venture, as Robert de Niro is also developing and taking on the role himself in his latest Ferrari biopic.
