The all-new 2016 Honda Pilot has got Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, making it one of the safest crossovers in the market. According to details on IIHS website, the crossover has yielded remarkable results in all five tests, outdoing the expectations in small-overlap frontal crash.

In small-overlap frontal crash test the airbags opened up right on time, completely securing the dummy’s head, while the cabin received 4 inches intrusion, with a low risk of wounds. Talking about the 2015 Pilot, it did well in 4 tests, getting a low score in the CUV examination, and that devastated the vehicle’s safety reputation.

The latest Elantra also offers an optional Honda Sensing suite for EX and higher trim levels, which includes windshield mounted camera and radar behind the grille, collision minimising braking system, forward collision warning, lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and road departure mitigation. All these features fruitfully helped boosting the automobile’s safety ratings.

The Honda Pilot 2016 crossover had previously been declared safe by NCAP, and now with IIHS backing up this conclusion as well, the automaker rests assured that its sales will go ballistic.
