The man with the Bat-vehicle and Bat-costume, Lenny Robinson, died in a fatal car accident on Interstate 70. The famous public figure, dubbed as ‘Route 29 Batman’, was heading to a car festival in West Virginia when the unforeseeable happened.
The incident took place on 16th of August, Sunday, while he was driving his 1960’s style Lamborghini Gallardo, which he had customised to make it look like a Batmobile. According to the Maryland police, Lenny’s car suddenly shot some engine problem, so he pulled over the car somewhere at Interstate 70, unfortunately choosing a dark spot, which together with his dark car and clothing made it difficult for an incoming Toyota Camry to spot him. As a result, the Camry crashed right into his car, killing Robinson on the scene.

He became internet celebrity in 2012, after he was pulled over in his exotic car, wearing Batman costume, then there on, he actively became involved in good cause of entertaining the kids by going to children’s hospitals, giving them gifts, batman memorabilia and letting them have a live demo of their favourite comic character.
Police claim that his car was partially parked in the fast lane, while more investigation is being carried out, the Camry’s driver safely walked out of the accident, without any charges.
