The BMW 5 Series spy photos have gone viral along the wire, wearing light camouflage. The new luxury car series will be wielded using 35up modular platform, which is the automaker’s next step towards making low fuel consumption vehicles.
The 35up is a development environment that adds lightweight materials such as aluminium and carbon fibre-reinforced plastic. Using this platform, expect the 2017 5 Series to cut 220 pounds weight, making it less than 3,300 pounds in weight. The prototype reveals that the dimensions of the latest automobile would measure 16 feet from front to back and little more than 6 feet sideways. Reportedly, there will be 4, 6 and 8 cylinder direct-injection and turbo-charged engines. for the customers to choose from.
The all-new BMW 5-Series will hit the roads next year as a 2017 model. Apart from this, the 2016 BMW 7-Series is also on its way to greet us this Autumn, built on the latest 35up platform. It is also hoped the upcoming 3-Series will join this revolution soon.
