BMW is very close to revealing the M750d model, which is according to the latest reports will feature a quad-turbocharged diesel engine, to take the place of tri-turbo diesel.

The BMW M Division, which produces all ‘M’ titled automobiles, is off to set up a new facility that will enhance forced induction of its diesel engines. The quad turbo diesel engine reportedly will be a 3.0 litre inline-six, offering a massive force of 400 horses and 590 lb-ft of torque.

There is no official announcement yet, but it is believed that the new quad-turbocharged diesel engine will level up low-end boost by adding a small electric turbo to the existing tri-turbocharged unit.

Turbochargers, which are sometimes inaccurately called superchargers, help engine push more air in its internal combustion chamber, which increases its output. Looks like BMW fans have a night to celebrate, with BMW adding more turbo power to its cars.
