Opel plans to launch a new touring car – Astra TCR – inspired from automaker’s current Astra model, which will premier in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, next month.
This creation of the motorsport division of Opel is aimed at national and international racing, entertaining the interested parties from around the world. The newly announced Astra has a 2.0 litre turbo four with power of 330 ponies and 302 lb-ft of torque.
Opel AG is a subsidiary of General Motors, which is based in Germany. The sub-brand has been around for quite a while and provides racing enthusiasts with amazing opportunities to race in the circuits with their performance TCR vehicles, for certain amount of money. Power spec details are not announced yet, while testing would commence this October.
The 2016 Astra TCR racer will give car racing fans an unforgettable taste of racing mania.
