Volkswagen has announced to include Driver Assistance technologies in designated high-end vehicles, set to ride next year. Until now, these features were only available in the automaker’s sports utility vehicle, Tourag, but with the dawn of 2016, all new ‘luxury and premium’ vehicles will get a bite.

In a press release, Volkswagen said that it is lining up compact class sedans and hatchbacks to endow them with advanced features like Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Parking Steering Assistant and an active Lane Departure Warning system.

Digging deeper in the list of Volkswagen cars which will benefit from these features, the Beetle, the CC, the e-Golf, the Golf, the Golf GTI, the Golf R, the Golf SportWagen, and the Jetta are going to get the above mentioned updates in the model year 2016. However, which vehicles would receive what, will also be determined by their trim levels and selection of packages by the customers.
