Mercedes-Benz has revealed a video showing how the remote parking system in its upcoming 2017 E-Class will work. Bearing an alias W213, the next generation E-Class is promised to revolutionise car technologies, including driverless systems.
The remote function will be able to drive the luxury vehicle back and forth, in addition to control the steering to shun objects in the path, a technology much similar to the latest 7-Series’ BMW’s Remote Control Parking. Additionally, drivers will be able to manage the car with a mobile phone app specifically designed for this job. Watch the video to see how it works.
Mercedes-Benz is also introducing a new class of in-line six-cylinder engines, which will be a comeback for straight-six engines that have long been resting since the arrival of V6 units back in 1960s. It is expected that as a part of this revival, the cars will be offered both in petrol and diesel variants.
