The firing of Jeremy Clarkson as lead presenter of the immensely popular British car show “Top Gear” came as a shock to multitude of fans around the world. Clarkson had been the lead presenter since the inception of the show, reportedly sacked due to a tussle with producer Oisin Tymon. Finding the right person to take over Jeremy’s job wasn’t an easy task, but BBC has finally found someone. Chris Evans, who is a known car enthusiasts, is set to take the reins of the show.

Evans has signed a three year deal to usher Top Gear into next generation. He has impressive credentials to take the helm and has promised to give everything to take the show ahead.

Fans of the show can catch Jeremy and his team mates James May and Richard Hammond hosting the final episode on Sunday, June 28th before Evans takes over. The date of the same is not yet confirmed for US broadcast.
