Installing latest and innovative technologies in new cars is essential these days to stay competitive in the market. The British car manufacturer, Jaguar has taken this too seriously and has come up with a new high tech equipment called ‘Mind Sense’, which uses sensors to measure the driver’s brainwaves and monitor the level of alertness.
Sensors will be integrated into the steering wheel which will record the brainwaves and if the system detects that the driver is unfocussed, the steering wheel or the brake pedals will start to vibrate. The automaker is also experimenting to install heart and respiratory sensors in the seats which will regulate the driver’s physical health. If an unusual behaviour is observed by the system, it will issue a warning or automatically take control of the car for safety purposes.
Moreover, a new infotainment system is also in the works, which will automatically predict the control the driver is reaching for; implying that the driver will not have to touch anything on the display screen, the system will recognise it itself and engage it.
All these new technologies are being implemented in Jaguar Land Rover to provide a more safe driving experience to its customers.
