The latest addition to the brand’s already impressive lineup consisting of XF, XJ and F-TYPE, the all-new Jaguar XE was launched amid much fanfare by Al-Tayer Motors, the official distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. The launch took place as part of a spectacular event held at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.
A rear-wheel drive, the Jaguar XE is perhaps the only vehicle of its class to make use of an aluminium-intensive monocoque. Other features represent the Jaguar’s personality to the core such as double wishbone front suspension and an Integral Link rear axle.
Presently, the Jaguar XE will be made available with a range of engines, starting with the turbocharged, direct-injection, 2.0-litre four-cylinder. This engine made its first appearance in the Jaguar XF and XJ models. For people looking for a faster, stronger presence on the road, there is the Jaguar XE S, which features a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 engine generating 340PS/450Nm of torque, thereby enabling the car to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.1 seconds. The maximum speed the car will be able to reach is 250km/h.
Customers can avail the Jaguar XE for AED 169,000/- at Al Tayer Motors showrooms in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Premier Motors showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The purchase also accompanies a 5-year / 250,000kms warranty and roadside assistance along with 5-year / 65,000kms service contract.
