In its attempt to contribute to the city’s goal of employing environment-friendly transportation, Al Futtaim Motors has delivered additional 55 Toyota Hybrid Camry cars to CarsTaxi Group of Companies. This move will increase the total number of Toyota Hybrid cars, operating on routes linking Dubai and Abu Dhabi, to 100 vehicles.
A press conference was held to unveil the company’s plans and was attended by numerous dignitaries including Jon Williams, Managing Director at Al-Futtaim Motors, Yousuf Al Raeesi, General Manager Government Relations, Mohammed Hassan, Head of Corporate Sales at Al-Futtaim Motors, Abdullah Sultan Al Sabbagh, CEO at Cars Taxi Group, Abdul Razak, General Manager at Cars Taxi Group along with several government officials and media personnel.
This initiative by Al Futtaim Motors is the result of an agreement signed by both companies last September as per which Cars Taxi agreed to introduce Hybrid Camry cars to Abu Dhabi for the first time.
The Toyota Hybrid Camry has proved to be quite a success in the UAE and has played a major role in helping the city realise the Dubai Vision 2021 to ensure a green environment by reducing the carbon footprints and depending more on sustainable energy resources.
