After introducing 4G LTE connectivity and wireless charging on its 2015 lineup, Cadillac is going a step further with its upcoming 2016 models. Recently, it announced to enhance its CUE system and now reports have emerged that the new 2016 Cadillac models will feature both the Apple CarPlay as well as the Android Auto as part of its infotainment system.
This means users owning an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1 or an Android phone running the Lollipop software will be able to sync their devices with the system comprising of an 8-inch multi-touch screen, thereby letting them access hands-free text messaging, Skype, Whatsapp, Spotify, Google Play Music, Siri, iTunes and many more.
Other enhancements include a much more powerful processor for faster start up, navigation searches, media playing and voice recognition. For its Escalade, CTS and XTS, the CUE is also adding a Surround Vision 360 degree perimeter view.
