Two days before its official reveal, the Web was practically quivering with excitement at the accidental leak of photos of the new BMW 7 Series. The photos show a lighter version of the original, with more engine and colour options according to reports.

According to the official bmw.at website, the new 7 Series will include a choice of 3 engines and either a standard rear- or optional four-wheel drive. The engine options include a new turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder common rail diesel, codenamed ‘B57’ with 195 KW available for the 730d. Moreover, there will be a new turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol unit, codenamed ‘B58’ with 240 KW in the 740i.

Buyers get to choose from a variety of colours including Alpine White, Black College, Black Sapphire, Carbon Black, Glacier Silver, Cashmere Silver, Sophisto Grey, Imperial Blue, Magellan Grey, Singapore Grey, Mineral White, Arctic Grey Brilliant Effect and Jatoba.

Other features include the M-Sport Package, Driving Assistance Plus, adaptive full LED headlamps, a Pure Excellence interior and an Alcantara headliner among others.
