After much speculation surrounding the changes made to the design of the 2016 Lexus LX-570 following a facelift in 2012, Japanese magazine ‘Best Car’ released photos of the new car, thereby putting many rumours to rest.
The new model is expected to bring a unified spindle grille, reshaped headlights along with two sets of daytime running lights, and fog lights. Other changes include a modified bumper and different graphics for the taillights.
Internally, the 2016 Lexus LX-570 is expected to remain the same; a V8 5.7-litre engine with 383 hp (286 KW) and 403 lb-ft (546 Nm) of torque. This will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD system equipped with a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Following in the footsteps of its older brother, the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser, (images of which were also leaked several days ago), the 2016 Lexus will also include emergency braking along with a radar and high-resolution camera that will activate the aforementioned emergency brakes upon detecting an oncoming collision through scanning the road ahead.
The 2016 Lexus LX-570 is expected to be revealed in August.
