The latest Chinese car model to enter Dubai’s auto market, the Chery Tiggo5 SUV, has already created massive appeal at its launch at Al-Habtoor Motors, the official distributor of Chery. Chery showroom’s sales have been topped 1,200 since the launch and this is impressive. The car is being sold in two variants, both powered by a 2.0-litre engine wearing Dh59,900 and Dh64,900 price tags respectively.
Ever since signing a deal with the firm back in 2013, Al-Habtoor Motors has been able to successfully make inroads into the market with the Chery brand, which is being seen as a competitive product amidst many European and American contemporaries.
According to the sales director of Al-Habtoor Motors, Mr. Joe Rogan, the Chery brand has managed to incorporate many new additions as a result of feedback from the UAE market, particularly those related to air conditioning units, seating colours, dashboard colours and many other things. Joe Rogen believes the new Chery Tiggo5 and a newly designed Tiggo3 coming out in June of this year will help the distribution outlet achieve their target sales figures.
