Apple watch is not just about reading messages, checking mails or notifications, in fact you can now use it for plenty of interesting stuff with your Mercedes. The MB Companion App, which is expected to release this fall, will allow the luxury car owners to keep track of where they parked their vehicle.

The drivers can even search for the driving direction from the Apple Watch or iPhone and it will automatically get transferred to the onboard navigation system in the Mercedes. The app will also display the Mercedes current fuel level, current range, maintenance code, and the car’s odometer readings.

The MB Companion App is developed by the Mercedes-Benz Research & Development centre in Silicon Valley and Daimler development experts from Sindelfingen. Firstly, it will only be available for Mercedes-Benz C-Class and S-Class vehicles equipped with the COMAND Online navigation system, however the automaker has plans to add other models too.

Mercedes-Benz is not the first luxury car maker to design an application for Apple watch, other automakers such as BMW and Volkswagen have also introduced similar apps this year.
