For those looking to add a little extra thrill to their already powerful BMW M6s, the new Competition Package aims at doing just that. With 600 horsepower 516 pound-feet of torque, the BMW M6 Competition Package is capable of extracting a substantial amount of power from the M6’s twin-turbo charged 4.4-litre V8 engine. This will allow the BMW to reach 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph (249.44km/h).
Presently, the Competition Package has been reserved specifically for the M6 and can be equipped on the coupe, convertible and four-door Gran Coupe models. Apart from a boost in speed, users can expect other changes from the Competition Package including upgrades to the springs, dampers and anti-roll bars.
In addition, the steering for the BMW M6 has been made sharper and direct, whereas the traction has been greatly improved by The Active M Differential. All cars in the M6 range sporting the package are said to feature 20-inch bi-color alloy wheels along with black chrome exhausts. Prices are expected to be between £5,500 and £6,500 with the cars being made available sometime in the month of July.
