Call it a reprise of the famous show on everything related to cars, if you will, but Netflix seems to have hit gold. If rumours are to be believed, former hosts of the hit show, Top Gear, namely Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will probably be appearing in a new show for Netflix titled ‘House of Cars’, a spin on the company’s most popular political drama starring Kevin Spacey.
Talks between Netflix and the former executive producer for Top Gear, Andy Wilman, seem to be showing promise as, according to an unnamed source, Netflix, with no advertising to cause any sponsorship conflicts, is the perfect fit for the show. Details are sketchy on the expected airing of ‘House of Cars’, however much excitement seems to be surrounding the upcoming deal.
This is Jeremy Clarkson’s first possible project after he was fired from Top Gear following a massive fight between him and the show’s producer, Oisin Tymon. Hammond, May and Wilman soon followed as an act of solidarity with Jeremy. Top Gear is expected to air later this month as reports of the finalization of its three hosts surface. Rumours are rife that those hosts are Jodie Kudd, Philip Glenister and Guy Martin, though BBC has declined to comment.
