Audi has just unveiled a concept that makes one of its vehicles close to 600HP. If you are already known which big event takes over the month of May, you’ve probably guessed it’s time for Volkswagen Group to return at the Wörthersee Festival where the company rolls out its enthusiastic and high-power concepts. Starting May 13, the festival will include Audi TT Clubsport Turbo concept that attributes an electrically-driven turbocharger, and a super wide body kit.

Audi has an outfit of an electric and conventional turbo to its 2.5L inline-five engine for a power output of 591HP and a torque of 479lb-ft. The vehicle has a six-speed manual transmission and Audi Quattro all-wheel drive system to finalise the drivetrain.

The body kit of the vehicle is at least 5.5 inches wider than the normal 2016 Audi TT. In addition to its enormous fixed rear wing, the TT Clubsport Turbo comes with 20-inch wheels, carbon-fibre ceramic brakes and a roll cage.

We are not sure if the Audi TT is the first to get the electric turbocharging but the technology will surely make its way through Volkswagen’s portfolio. Audi has already tested the RS 5 TDI concept and if rumours are true, the successor to Bugatti Veyron will also have electrically-driven turbos.
