Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors has recently announced that the company is planning to reveal its new Tesla Model 3 in March 2016. Talking to the investors at Tesla, he also stated that the date is unconfirmed right now.
The Model 3 will be a more affordable choice for consumers while the flagship Model S and the Model X would feature more luxurious options and may cost more too. The Model X, which has been under production for some time, will be available to customers later this year. The CEO has also announced, they will start accepting online customization orders for Model X in the month of July.
The Model 3 will be able to cover 200 miles on a single charge, which makes it a highly efficient vehicle giving it an edge over its German rival, the BMW 3 series.
The production of 2016 Tesla Model 3 will start in mid or late 2017 and it will probably cost around, $35,000 USD.
